My friend Jennie has been bugging me over the last few months to start a blog. We spend many hours on the phone each week discussing both work and knitting. I would not call myself an advanced knitter by any stretch--maybe more like intermediate. But I'm very interested in developing techniques. I have learned recently that I am a Zimmerman-style process knitter. This means mostly that I don't have the patience to follow patterns and usually just make it up as I go along. It also means that I have experienced more than one knitting disaster but many exciting successes.
I don't envision this blog being limited exclusively to knitting. I am a very jack-of-all-trades crafter who easily gets bored doing one thing. I also spend a lot of my life doing non-hobby-related work which some people might find interesting.
I look forward to the suggestions and insights of the wise online community.
